Vavuniya Archaeological Museum

Vavuniya Archaeological Museum has a rich collection of antiques. The most important are the Buddha statues from the period between the 5th and the 8th century, found in the Madukanda Temple and in Mannar limestone. There are also pinched-faced terracotta figures, which belong to the 4th and the 5th century and were found in Kilinochchi.
