Nelum Pokuna is one of the newest attractions in Colombo. This theatre is a fully equipped state of the art performance center, meant for large-scale theatrical productions. The theatre consists of two venues for performances – the main auditorium and an open-air amphitheatre. The design of this building is inspired by the Lotus Pond of Polonnaruwa, built between the 9th and the 11th centuries.
