Keerimalai Naguleeswaram Temple is located on the northern tip of the Jaffna peninsula, around 15 km from Jaffna. The nearest place is Kankasanthurai. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and one of the five ancient Shiva temples in Sri Lanka. The other significant thing about this place is the Keerimalai spring, which is said to contain healing mineral waters. These waters cured a horse-faced princess of her equine characteristics. The spring is separated from the sea only by a stone wall; therefore, it is a wonderful place with fresh water.
