This is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan.

It is located in the Vavuniya district and approximately 250 km from Colombo.
When?
It can be visited all year long, though Fridays for the poosai ceremony or during Hindu festivals.
Dedicated to Lord Murugan, Kandasamy Kovil is held in high esteem by Hindus for its grand tower entrance and lively religious celebrations. It is interesting from the architectural point of view as it is richly decorated with the gopuram, images covered by gold and many colourful stone carvings on the kovil’s roof.
