Angulmaduwa village is located on the way to Mulkirigala. Its specialty is high- quality brassware making, iron smelting, and steel tempering. Travelers can see diligent traditional artisans at work, producing original brassware items. You can purchase them at a reasonable price. The most popular brassware items are standing lamps with shapes of birds, elephants, barrels and hanging lamps. Sri Lankans believe that lighting an oil lamp is necessary at important occasions. They commonly use ceremonial lamps in temples, at weddings, and on Sinhala New Year. They are made from brass, indented with a large nail and hammer to create a delicate design in relief on the surface.
