Udawattekele Sanctuary

Udawattekele Sanctuary is one of the most famous and accessible bird sanctuaries in Sri Lanka, which is situated in Kandy, north of the lake, about 1 km east of Trinity College. There are lots of huge trees, creepers, much insect life, many monkeys, butterflies, and mostly birds including hanging parrots, yellow-fronted barbets, black capped bulbuls, emerald doves, and kingfishers.
