Salagala Forest Hermitage is an ancient Buddhist forest hermitage, located about 10 km towards Galapitamada road in Kegalle. It was established during the Anuradhapura Kingdom era, and it contains the ruins of the ancient forest monastery. The inscriptions, which date to the 3rd century BC, Ketagilla Jungle and Lenagala Raja Maha Viharaya are the highlights here. It is located in the middle of a green canopy.
