Polonnaruwa Kiri Vehera is a well-known temple in Polonnaruwa, placed in the Alahana Pirivena monastery. It was built by King Parkramabahu’s queen, Subadra. Originally it was called Rupavathi Stupa. It is 24 meters high and the second largest stupa in Polonnaruwa. Many restored smaller stupas can be seen around this main stupa, being burial chambers of high priests and royals.
