Fort Frederick

Fort Frederick in Trincomalee was built in 1624 by the Portuguese and operates as a military base. The Fort is bordered by a stone wall and has an attractive gateway, which was constructed in 1675. There are many other colonial buildings inside the ground of Fort Frederick.
