The waterfall can be seen at Soranathota, about 5 kilometers from Badulla. It is about 64 meters in height. Dunhinda got this name as it is like a smoky dewdrops spray that jumps from a high gap of the Badulu River, which goes through the Badulla town. To reach the fall, you have to walk nearly 1 km of distance on foot. But it will bring you a fascinating experience to see wild birds, butterflies , and monkeys. On the way you can see another small waterfall named Kuda Dunhinda at a glance. At the end of this journey, you can meet a secured stage constructed for the viewers and enjoy the waterfall. If you are very confident, you can reach the foot of the waterfall and cross the river.
