Bolgoda, or Bolgoda Estuary, is a known tourist place in the Kalutara district; there is the Bolgoda River, with many small islands, which flows into the sea at Panadura. This estuary is named Bolgoda Bird Sanctuary because of the numerous known aquatic birds and animals. Many resorts are situated along the river. Attractive scenery and leisure facilities and activities are a good reason to visit the place.
