Sathmahal Prasada is an ancient building located next to the chapter house in Polonnaruwa. It is a seven-story building and was built in the 12th century in the Cambodian style of a stepped pyramid. Similar stupas can be seen in Cambodia and Siam. The stupa is about 9 meters in height. It is believed that it was built for the Cambodian soldiers who served the king as their place of worship.
