What?
This is a scenic reservoir, a popular spot for boating, jet skiing, and relaxing by the water.

Where?
It is located in Nuwara Eliya, Central Province, Sri Lanka, along Badulla Road and approximately 159 km from Colombo.

When?
It can be visited all year long, but March to May and August to September are the best months to visit when the weather is pleasant and the lake is bustling with activity.

Gregory Lake is located about 1km from Nuwara Eliya. It was made by the British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. This beautiful reservoir, surrounded by misty hills and covered by green bushes all over like a garland, is a nice place to spend some time by the water to relax . There is a boatyard that offers boat rides and rowing facilities. Besides, visitors have a chance to briskly walk or cycle on the well- paved road.
