Thiruketheeswaram Kovil

Thiruketheeswaram Kovil is a popular Hindu worship temple in Mannar. It can be reached by taking the A32 road. It is dedicated to the Hindu deity Isvara. According to a legend, this kovil was built by Ravana’s uncle Mayan. It is one of the legendary sites where Issvara had performed miracles. The significant thing to see in this kovil are huge veil carts, which are elaborately decorated wooden carriages that parade the streets during the festive times.
