Mathota Raja Maha Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist temple beside the Thiruketheeswaram Kovil in Mannar. The temple was damaged in the civil war; therefore, the Buddhist community doesn’t live there. But the Sri Lanka’s security forces look after the temple. Many archaeological ruins can be seen there.
