Old Parliament Building 

What?
The Old Parliament Building is a Neo-Baroque structure that housed Sri Lanka’s legislature until 1983 and is now the Presidential Secretariat.

The Old Parliament Building is located in the city of Colombo.

When?
It can be visited all year long, though public access is restricted to the exterior.

This is a neo-baroque-style building constructed in 1930 to house the Legislative Council of Ceylon during the British occupation of the country. This building was used as parliament after independence and until 1983, when the parliament was moved to the new building at Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte. Currently it houses the Presidential Secretariat. The building lies in front of Galle Face Green, facing the sea.
